Born on 15th September 1951 in Szczawnica.
Graduated in history from the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow in 1974. Worked as a teacher in a primary school in Szczawnica (1975–1976) and a complex of vocational schools in Krościenko (1976−1980). Worked in the Town Office in Szczawnica for the next two years and in “Uzdrowisko Szczawnica” state-owned enterprise between 1983 and 1993. 1993–1995 – worked in a technical services and construction implementation  enterprise in the Federal Republic of Germany. 2007–2008 − the head of the Education and Training Centre of the Voluntary Labour Corps.
Owns a farm.
1995−1996 – the mayor of Szczawnica town and commune; 1999–2006 − a deputy administrator then administrator of Nowy Targ District. 1999−2006 – a member of Nowy Targ District Council; 2006−2015 – a deputy to Małopolskie Provincial
Parliament.
Regional activist and honorary chairman of the Polish Highlanders Alliance.
Member of the Law and Justice political party and its Political Council.
Married, has two children.
