Jadwiga Rotnicka

Born on 20th November 1943 in Lubochnia.
1966 – graduated from the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Obtained the doctoral degree in 1975 and the degree of doctor habilitated (1989) in physical geography (discipline: hydrology).
From 1966 to 2014 – a lecturer at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Lectured and led seminars on hydrology, water management and environmental protection.
Between 1997 and 2007 – the director of the 3rd Central Branch of Regional Retail Branch of PKO BP SA in Poznań.
From 1990 to 1998 – the chairwoman of Poznań City Council; in subsequent terms (1999–2007) a member of Poznań City Council.
Honorary chairwoman of the Poznań City Appreciation Society, a member of the Poznań Society of the Friends of Learning and Rotary Club – Poznań Starówka district.
Member of the Solidarity trade union organization at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
Member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, the Environment Committee and the Local Government and State Administration Committee in the Seventh Term Senate. Chairwoman of the Environment Committee and a member of
the Local Government and State Administration Committee in the Eighth Term Senate; also a deputy chairwoman of the Civic Platform Senators’ Club.
Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland, a member of its national board.
Married, has one child.
