Born on 31st January 1965 in Białystok.
1989 – graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Białystok branch of the University of Warsaw. Completed the articling programme for judges and legal advisers and passed the licensing examinations in 1992.
1993–1994 – a legal adviser with the Regional Board of the Solidarity Trade Union in Białystok. For the next 13 years served as the secretary of the Białystok Municipal Administration. Governor of the Podlaskie Province in 2007.
Member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Białystok.
Deputy chairman of the Legislation Committee and a member of the Local Government and State Administration Committee in the Seventh Term Senate. Deputy chairman of the Legislation Committee and a member of the Human Rights, the Rule of Law and Petitions Committee in the Eighth Term Senate.
Member of the Law and Justice political party; a member of its political council and a member of its province board.
Married, has two children.
